Before Zealong, nobody grew tea commercially in New Zealand at all. The estate outside Hamilton, planted from Taiwanese cuttings in 1996, is still the only one of its kind here, and a certified organic one.
Zealong's take on the classic bergamot blend, built around whole black leaf lifted with florals and a spicy citrus peel finish. The liquor pours a lovely blush pink, proof this isn't your standard Earl Grey.
