Ceramic Gaiwan Solid 150ml

A refined Chinese lidded brewing vessel in fine ceramic, glazed in a soft, matte and finished with a slender burnt-orange band running the rim of the bowl, lid, and saucer. Understated and quietly beautiful, the piece lets the shape and the glaze do the talking.

The gaiwan is at the heart of Gong Fu Cha, where short, successive infusions let a single tea reveal itself across many small cups. Its three simple parts (bowl, lid, and saucer) give you full control: fill with hot water, cover briefly, then tilt the lid to pour off the liquor while holding back the leaves.

Ceramic gives the vessel a warm, grounded feel and holds heat gently across the infusion. A versatile all-rounder for greens, whites, oolongs, and blacks alike, and especially at home with rounder, mellower teas.
